Infant Massage Classes

Infant Massage classes are an opportunity for parents and caregivers to learn specific strokes and techniques for massaging their baby. A number of important elements help form the bond between parent and child. These include sharing eye-to-eye contact and skin-to-skin contact, facial expressions, soothing sounds, cuddling, and smell. Infant massage incorporates these critical elements of bonding and provides a special time that fosters mutual love, compassion, and respect.

Each week covers a different region of the body, review of the previous region, and pertinent discussion topics. Handouts and coconut oil are provided. Babydolls are available for prenatal parents, sleeping babies, eating babies, and the other parent or sibling to practice with simultaneously in class. Participants are encouraged to tend to their baby's needs as they arise during class.

Group classes are up to eight families for five weeks. One-family private classes are four weeks long. The class fee covers two family members and baby (up to 12 months old).

Group Class (5 weeks)     $100
Private Class (4 weeks)    $120

Tickets for group classes can be purchased online when a series is available.
